A FICO Make-Over Story
There was once a girl who was married to a boy. They mis-judged and mis-used their credit for ten long years. One day, after everything was just about hopeless, they decided to turn their life around. This is a story of how a fun-loving couple in their 30s decided to become debt free, in order to purchase their first home for their three lovely children.

**Thoughts on Mays Scores**
They are going UP! I cannot believe it! We are finally getting somewhere! How exciting!
Wow, your daycare is cheap! Is 2K a month in this area.
Car insurance is also amazingly cheap.
But bank fees?
I keep a spending log and like to look at other people's, so thanks for posting.
I try to eliminate "miscellaneous" category because it does not help at all to see where the money went. So I also keep a daily log of raw data so that I can always re-work the categories.
I have added many: car maintenance, gifts, parking tickets/fines, tolls, dry cleaning, grooming, sport, eating out(if you have not done it the entire month you have amazing willpower!)
Nika,
My sister-in-law watches my 2 year old only 3 days a week. My husband has Thur, Fri, and Saturday's off. We are lucky! My other two children are 10 and 13, so no daycare for them. =)
Bank Fees... I know. It's the convienence of having the bank cover my mistakes until payday. They all get paid... but GULP, I looked at all of them from since Jan 2008... Over $1800. Never again. Man, my bank must love me.
You are so lucky to pay so little for car insurance. When my DH just got his license at 25 (NYC, so we did not need a car until he got a job in NJ) his MONTHLY!! payment with clean record and great credit score was $389 for a paid-for 8 year old sedan.
Now that he got a rolling stop ticket, his price has gone up, but we dropped full coverage and bare bones "liability only" is $240 a month on a paid-for now 10 year old sedan.
That is more than some people's car payments. In some parts of the country your insurance would be less than this if you had a DUI! I hate this.
I think your miscelaneous categories are not miscelaneous. They are "eating out" "car repairs/maintenance" and lotto tickets are "entertainment".
good work on keeping track of things, but i agree with nika, you should have an eating out category and a car repairs category. those things are NOT miscellaneous!

MISC Spending Log
1-Jan $3 Lotto
31-Jan $2,000 Truck (New Engine)
31-Jan $545 Eating Out
Everything got paid last month, we just didn't throw any towards the snowball, and that sucks.
