And We're Back!

I had such a difficult time... we spent a lot of money! We didn't OVER spend, it was just expensive stuff. It cost us $220 for Sea World; but the kids LOVED it! We hadn't been since my middle child was 1... We probably won't be going again - so we considered it our last chance.

We visited the USS Midway, and did a tour.
We visited a old haunted house (The Whaley House).
We went to Coronado Island & spent a day at the beach.
We ate good (tried to be frugal).

I am just not used to spending money - we've been on a strict budget since November! It was weird.

It was all in cash, and we were about $200 under budget - not bad.

Now off to pay July bills and ensure our pay offs are on track!!!

I can't believe the hotel was charging $5.50 for that small thing of water. And it was room tempature! lol... crazy. It was bad enough we were staying downtown and had to do mandatory Valet Parking @ the Hotel - for $32 a night!!!

I have heard that hotels are coming up with all kinds of new "fees" these days. I was wondering if they actually force someone who did not bring a car to pay for valet parking. About once or twice a year I go on some kind of trip for work and usually fly in and take a cab or shuttle to the hotel. If you don't bring a car, you shouldn't have to pay.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and glad you had fun. The bottled water is a rip-off... we never buy in the hotel.
