Squeal of Tires...

....car alarm going off....knock on my door at 1am.

My car is gone. They came and picked it up. =(

We had no choice - but damn that hurts ones pride. I have never had anything like that happen before. They refused to work with us or help in anyway (which sucks because in today's economy, I am sure there are a ton of people behind).

We still have our Odyssey and our Ford F-150 (which is 10 years old and needs some engine work) - so we will survive.

I will never, ever, ever let this happen again.

    I am so sorry. At least your have other vehicles to drive though. I have a question, Do you still have to pay the balance of what you owe? I have a friend at work who had her car repossessed and she still is responsible for the balance. Just wondering. Good luck with everything. I started getting serious about our finances last spring, had a bad couple of months in September/October and am trying to clean up my own mess.

    BA - I am not sure... do they normally not?
    I wonder if it was because the steering wheel was locked. There are marks on the pavement from where it was dragged. It wasn't a normal tow-truck, rather a heavy duty pickup, that grabbed the rear of the car.
    He said he wanted us to be able to get our stuff out (there was a car seat in there). We took our plates, and gave him the keys... seemed like he had to put it in neutral.

    I don't know...

    I'm sorry to hear about this. But, you made it through, still have other transportation, are avoiding bankruptcy, and things can only get better from here.
